Dark Horse will be doing their own collection, too. Little Lulu’s Pal Tubby Volume 1: The Castaway and Other Stories due out September 1. Reprinting Marge’s Tubby #1-6.
That’s exactly what I shout while having sex.
Yes — can somebody explain if this is different than the Dark Horse reprints (which have solicited a 2nd volume: Little Lulu’s Pal Tubby Volume 2: The Runaway Statue and Other Stories?)
This one has a cover by Seth!
Actually that’s a great question. My Tubby runneth over!
As has been pointed out, both Dark Horse and Drawn & Quarterly are publishing the first volumes of Tubby reprints. Why are we both publishing this material? Some of the issues of Tubby have fallen into the public domain, so Drawn & Quarterly will be publishing those issues, while Dark Horse will publish the public domain material, as well as the remaining issues, licensed from our partners at Classic Media.
Here is the info on DH’s two Tubby volumes:
DH
–chronological and complete reprinting of the entire series (v1 issues #1-6, v2 issues #7-12)
–$15.99 price
–softcover (224 pages)
–released September 1, 2010
I’ll go with the Dark Horse books — better price point, and the cover art is more representative of the content, and more appealing to me.
