The Witcher, created by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and popularised internationally in the series of hit video games, is coming back to comics. This summer, Geralt of Rivia will star in a new Dark Horse miniseries, The Witcher: Fading Memories. The miniseries will be written by Bartosz Sztybor, drawn by Adam Mir, and will feature covers by Evan Cagle.

Check out the description of the series:

Geralt has become impoverished and dejected since monster threats have seemingly vanished. Times have always been hard for Witchers—but without continual work, his situation has worsened. As Geralt explores new possibilities for his life path, he receives a request from the Mayor of Towitz, a small town where children are being kidnapped by Foglets… but something feels off about this new threat.

Interestingly, Dark Horse claims this is set in the world of the video games. There have been a lot of Witcher comics, some of them very good, but I’m not sure they were all advertised as such.

So toss a coin to your local comic book shop when The Witcher: Fading Memories #1, the first of four issues, hits stories and digital markets on June 17, 2020. Check out the cover below.
