IMAX unveiled a brand-new poster and teaser for The Marvels ahead of its debut this fall, teasing just how big the action will be on the premium format screen.
According to IMAX, the latest Marvel Studios film features more than 30 minutes of footage in the format’s 1.90:1 expanded aspect ratio. Along with the announcement, a new poster spotlighting Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau was released, as was a teaser hyping up the movie’s release. Check them out:
The poster and trailer both show the three hero’s unique (yet interconnected) powers on display. The teaser further offers shots of Goose astride Carol’s shoulder, Nick Fury joining in on the fight after his time on Secret Invasion, and gives glimpses of what fans can expect when the MCU epic hits screens in November.
Despite the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA leaving many to wonder if fall and winter blockbusters would be pushed in 2024, Disney and Marvel seem keen to stick with The Marvels‘ release date. Indeed, the story is said to have ties with Secret Invasion, though the ending of the miniseries leaves a lot of questions about Fury and the Skrulls’ place in the MCU.
While Captain Marvel appeared in Avengers: Endgame, little is known about her time out in the cosmos since the mid-’90s when her first film was set. It’s also unclear how exactly Kamala Khan’s powers will be tied into those of Carol and Monica, who both gained their abilities through energy connected to an Infinity Stone.
