While inauguration day may have been a gloomy afternoon in more than just weather terms; there was a bit of good news. At SDCC 2016, Tom Taylor announced he would be coming back to write the Injustice comic tie-in again and bring back some of the pizzazz missing from the series later years by other writers and that abomination of a series called Ground Zeroes (which is just a greedy cut scene to panel transcription of the game). We now know Tom Taylor will make Injustice great again starting Aprill 11. The comic, not real life injustice which is never great.

Early Friday, DC Comics officially sent word that the newly exclusive artist Bruno Redondo would be joining Taylor as the book’s lead illustrator. Other artists to join Redondo will be Juan Albarran (INJUSTICE), Daniel Sempere (ARROW:  THE DARK ARCHER), Mike S Miller (INJUSTICE) with more to be announced.

Taylor himself gave a few details about what we can expect when the series launches. “Our overarching goal is to tell one complete story between the comics and the games. There are a lot less ‘Gods Among Us’ in INJUSTICE 2 than when we started our story, but we hope to join Batman and the world’s finest Super Heroes in cleaning up the mess an evil Superman and his regime left behind.”

Injustice 2, the comic, will launch Aprill 11 with digital-first chapters each week then collected into a twice-monthly print comic in May.

I know it’s not professional to put opinions in news stories but… I’m genuinely excited about this so
