The Craft: Legacy is out now! The sequel to the 1996 cult classic The Craft directed by Andrew Fleming, Legacy brings the story of four young witches into our contemporary era. Produced by Blumhouse and written and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones (Confirmation), The Craft: Legacy follows four teenage girls discover as they discover the magic within themselves and around them while navigating the normal woes of high school. Things go awry when someone close to one of them tries to take it all away!

The Beat was on hand to talk to the four stars and main witches of the film. The cast talked often about their bond as friends and sisters and also in regards to practicing magic and the spirituality of magic. We talked with Cailee Spaeny (On the Basis of Sex) about her portrayal of Lily and how her onscreen legacy ties into the first film.

With Gideon Adlon (Blockers) we talked about her portrayal of Frankie and how her relationship with her sisters helped forge and on and offscreen bond with the other three stars.

With Lovie Simone (Greenleaf) we discussed her portrayal of Tabby, her previous acting experience, and how her journey with spirituality helped craft her performance.

And with Zoey Luna (Pose) we discussed her portrayal of Lourdes aka Lou and how being the quiet leader of the group helped her grow in her personal life.

Alongside Spaeny, Adlon, Simone, and Luna, The Craft: Legacy also stars Michelle Monaghan, David Duchovny, and Nicholas Galitzine. Watch The Craft: Legacy out on VOD now!

  1. This film is only available on VOD and will probably never play theaters, and yet they blunted its effect by making it PG-13. Why?
