This December we’ll all be recapping The Book of Boba Fett every Wednesday. The eagerly awaited Disney+ series fills in the winter slot formerly occupied by The Mandalorian but brings the original Mandalorian armor wearer of the Star Wars universe back to the tale: Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison). When last we saw Fett and his right hand gun Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) they were taking over Jabba the Hutt’s palace in the last episode of The Mandalorian Season two.

But it turns out there’s still a lot of riff raff (or scum and villainy) to be cleared out, and it Fett and Fennec will have to ice a lot of goons who are trying to muscle in on their turf.

To be honest, I’d watch Morrison and Wen just wander around reading phonebooks on Tatooine, so mixing it up with some gangster-style intrigue, Mos Eisley style, and I’m even more sold.

Boba Fett has long been one of the most beloved and intriguing characters in the Star Wars U, despite his brief presence (and only four lines of dialog) in the original trilogy, and debut in the long lost Star Wars Holiday Special. Despite his minimal screen time, the bounty hunter character sparked the imagination of fans and creators for decades with spin off comic books and novels aplenty. At one point James Mangold (Logan) was supposed to direct a stand alone Boba Fett movie, and that would have been pretty sweet, but Disney+ seems to have become an even better home for the expanded edition of the Star Wars universe.

Here’s the high res trailer.
