Now that you’ve had time to watch The Batman let’s talk about those fight scenes! The Batman is full of fights between not only Robert Pattinson‘s Batman and the criminals on the street, but also an iconically charismatic one with Zoë Kravitz‘s Selina Kyle. We spoke with Robert Alonzo, the supervising stunt coordinator for the film, about some of the action that we see in the film.

Alonzo is known not only for his work on this film, but has nearly 30 years of stunt design experience. He has accumulated over 200 credits in television, commercials, music videos, and film. He’s worked with the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Tom Cruise, Mark Wahlberg, Jeremy Renner, and many more. He has an extensive resume as a fight choreographer, stunt performer, and stunt coordinator, not to mention his 2nd unit directing credits in films like Oblivion, Tomorrowland, Deadpool, and more.

Alonzo revealed the difference between fighting styles when it comes to Pattinson and Kravitz’s combat styles. He discusses the different fighting styles he employed when training the actors and which fighters he would compare the two styles to. We also had to ask Alonzo about that flight suit scene and his part in one of the more chaotic scenes of the film.
