Author and illustrator Terry Moore (Strangers in Paradise) announced the end of his newest multi-year saga; Rachel Rising on Twitter Yesterday. The series about a girl who is raised from the dead is coming to a close at issue #42. Moore teased that an upcoming seventh trade paperback is being released — he also hinted at the idea of a softcover omnibus edition. This marks another completed omnibus for Moore after his acclaimed comic Echo and the multiple volumes of Strangers in Paradise are all available in large collected editions.

The author had no comment on what’s next for him after the series concludes;
I don't have any announcement about what comes after Rachel. It's her moment. The other critters in my head have to wait their turn.

He offered a specific page guess at the size of the omnibus;
Size should be close to one of the SIP omnibooks, which are about 1100 each.

Finally, Moore recalled some of his favorite memories about the book;
People hand me a Rachel Rising #1 to sign. I say "This is worth money now." They always reply "Don't care. I'll never sell it." #incredible
