Last week WB Interactive released another story trailer for Injustice 2 while Telltale Games dropped one for episode three of its Walking Dead series. This week, both publishers find their calendars in sync again as WB drops a new look at the villains of Injustice 2. At the same time, Telltale Games have released the official story trailer for its Guardians of the Galaxy episodic game series.

GOTG is a brand new story of the universe’s unlikeliest heroes: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy…Thanos. It looks like Telltale has blended the compelling character of the recent comics series with the magic of what James Gunn did with the team on screen. We won’t have to wait long as the game will launch its debut episode “Tangled up in Blue” April 18th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Mac, as well as the App Store and Google Play.

Not to be outdone, WB Interactive posted a new video spotlighting its roster of baddies. The video shows the first gameplay of the returning Bane and introduces CAPTAIN COLD alongside SCARECROW. Last year we’d shared rumblings about DC characters which creators on the Injustice comics were told to leave intact. A list that included Captain Cold and Doctor Fate. Best of all their still a few more characters to announce. For now, we’ll just enjoy Captain Cold obliterating Superman. Check out the additions of  Snart and Crane looking fierce, something only the team over at developer NetherRealm Studios could imagine.

Injustice 2 launches in North America on May 16 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
