Dark Horse Comics has announced a new StarCraft miniseries based on the hit video game franchise. StarCraft: Survivors is a four-issue series written by Jody Houser, illustrated by Gabriel Guzmán, colored by Michael Atiyeh, and lettered by Steve Dutro. The series is based on a story by Houser and the StarCraft game team.
Here’s how the publisher describes the series:
After surviving a murderous dark templar’s rampage, a terran space engineer named Caleb is forced to carry out the protoss’s bidding: he must infiltrate a munitions factory in the Umojan Protectorate and find a mysterious source of power.
The series reunites the full creative team from a previous Dark Horse miniseries, StarCraft: Scavengers. Houser has also previously written the StarCraft: Soldiers one-shot, which released earlier this year. This is the latest licensed work from Houser, who has also written comics in the Stranger Things, Star Wars, and Doctor Who universes, among several others. Guzmán has also previously done Star Wars and Conan work for Dark Horse.
