The massively multiplayer online (MMO) game Star Wars: The Old Republic is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. In addition to releasing the new Legacy of the Sith expansion, the game’s developer BioWare is commemorating the occasion by re-releasing some of the MMO’s most memorable cinematics in 4K Ultra HD.

The game (and the cinematics) are set 3000 years before the events of the original film trilogy, shortly after a war in which the Sith Empire brought the Galactic Republic to its knees. The Treaty of Coruscant put an end to the fighting, but tensions never subsided, resulting in a cold war between the two sides.

The game lets players choose between eight different classes, on the side of either the Republic or the Sith, each of which has its own three-act storyline. Their character possess a morality that sits somewhere on the light/dark spectrum depending on the choices they make, similar to BioWare’s other Star Wars project, Knights of the Old Republic.

The cinematics, set during and slightly before the events of The Old Republic, are entertaining for Star Wars fans no matter their familiarity (or lack thereof) with the MMO. We’ve compiled them for your viewing pleasure below.
