This week Dark Horse Comics will release Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories #1, the first issue of the publisher’s new all-ages series of one-shot Star Wars stories. The third issue of that title will release in November, and as Dark Horse’s full solicits hit, The Beat is pleased to offer a first look at artist Megan Huang‘s main cover for Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories #3.

Here’s how Dark Horse describes the November issue, featuring a story written by Cecil Castellucci and illustrated by French Carlomagna:

On the run from the brutal First Order, General Leia Organa tasks Finn & Poe Dameron with an important mission to acquire vital supplies for the Resistance. But when the deal goes south, the two hatch a plan to snatch starship parts from a moving train! But, unbeknownst to them, a First Order officer and his squad of stormtroopers have other plans!

A daring train heist on the frontiers of Wild Space, in Star Wars: Hyperspace #3!

Along with Huang’s main cover, Hyperspace Stories #3 will also sport a variant cover by artist Cary Nord.

The new all-ages series marks Dark Horse’s return to Star Wars comics. The publisher previously held the license to produce comics set in a galaxy far, far away for over twenty years, releasing titles from 1991 through 2014 before the license moved to Marvel following Disney’s 2012 acquisition of Lucasfilm.
