Over the weekend the Annie Award honoring the best in animation were handed out, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won all seven categories it was nominated for, including the big one, Best Animated Feature.

Hilda, the Netflix series based on the Luke Pearson graphic novels also won three awards, including Best Animated Television/Broadcast Production For Children.

Spider-Verse is the odds on favorite to win the Academy Award for best Animated Feature…and at this point if it doesn’t win it will be a huge upset. And if, by some chance, Disney pulls out the win, well, Spider-Verse will always be the best comic book inspired movie of recent times in our hearts.
