TBDIn February 2026, Scholastic is launching a new fantasy graphic novel series from animation filmmaker Morr Meroz. In Snowlands, three outcasts must join together when predator and prey alike begin to mysteriously disappear in the heart of the Snowlands.
The adventure begins in Snowlands Book 1: A Blood Moon, written by Meroz and illustrated by Collin Fogel. Snowlands Book 1: A Blood Moon will be available at your local bookstore and/or public library beginning on February 3rd, 2026. Snowlands Book 1: A Blood Moon
Here’s the description of the first book from Scholastic:
“Feba, an orphaned wolf cub believed to be cursed, is banished from her starving pack. Usha, a fierce snow leopard, embarks on a perilous quest to seek the wisdom of an enigmatic seer. And Batu, a bumbling wildcat that can’t hold a tune, yearns for a place where he can belong. Together, they form an unlikely trio, bound by fate. On their journey, they must face their fears, confront the deceptive creatures of the frosty wilderness, and navigate the deadly obstacles that await them at every turn. Each step takes them deeper into danger where they encounter creatures—some helpful, some deceitful—and uncover a widespread peril in the mountains, the fate of the missing animals, and what it truly means to be a family.”
Meroz, author of Snowlands Book 1: A Blood Moon and founder of Bloop Animation Studios, had this to say about the book:

Interesting. Looks like the first book originally came out in 2015 and is now rereleased with maybe more books in the series coming out. (It was originally listed as book 1, so it was meant to be a series from the start, but it probably didn’t pan out)
