Earlier this week Iron Circus Comics announced a pair of new crowdfunding projects launching via BackerKit celebrating the past and future of the Smut Peddler series. Smut Peddler Presents: My Monster Girlfriend is a collection of all new stories and a companion to the previously-crowdfunded My Monster Boyfriend, while Smut Peddler X: Ten Years of Impeccable Pornoglyphics offers a new printing of the first anthology collection along with brand-new extras. The project has already raised five times its initial goal, and today The Beat is pleased to present an exclusive excerpt from the first story in My Monster Girlfriend, “Feather,” by Kanesha C. Bryant.

Smut Peddler X: Ten Years of Impeccable Pornoglyphics brings the original Smut Peddler anthology back to print, and includes new material like a new introduction by sex advice columnist Stoya, essays from the anthology’s original editors, archival material, and a new cover by Claire Hummel.
The funding of the new double-header via BackerKit is a first for Iron Circus Comics. The publisher has funded a number of recent projects through their own independently-run crowdfunding site following their departure from Kickstarter.
