This thrill-ride of a graphic novel is the story of a 9-year-old daredevil who comes to the rescue when a theme park full of robots goes haywire. Only Action Dude can save the day, especially since no one else is crazy enough to just walk in there and save everyone.

Who is Action Dude? He’s the bravest action hero there ever was, and he lives for danger. He lives for excitement. And he lives with his mom because he’s nine years old! Action Dude is a thrill-packed graphic novel full of jumping out of helicopters, crashing ships, running along cranes, outwitting villains, and so much more all in the name of saving the day and seeking thrills. When robots at a new amusement park go haywire, it’s up to Action Dude to come to the rescue. Packed with jokes, humor, friendship, and lots and lots of explosions, kids will love the hero of Action Dude and all the dangers and adventures he throws himself into. Perfect for emerging readers, this graphic novel is full of illustrations and humor that are sure to keep kids entertained and asking for more.

Riley said in a statement:

Action Dude’s mom may still call him Charlie, but he has most definitely changed his name to reflect who he wants to be. And who he wants to be is somebody like Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham… the sort of hero who has a bald head and jumps out of exploding buildings. He’ll always try to save the day, whether it needs to be saved or not. His story is full of fun, thrills, and friendship, and is perfect for all the younger action heroes growing up among us.
