The Energon Universe is about to turn three, and Skybound Entertainment is celebrating in a big way. Tuesday, the Robert Kirkman-led studio announced a series of new commemorative covers celebrating the occassion. Featuring art from Tom Reilly and Adriano Lucas, the line’s four primary titles will be getting the special covers.
This June, Void Rivals #31, Transformers #33, G.I. Joe #23, and M.A.S.K. #1 will each land one of the covers, with all four connective to form a massively beautiful print featuring characters from all corners of the Energon Universe. In total, 82 characters are featured on the piece.
“It’s that time of the year where we once again celebrate the anniversary of the Energon Universe, now welcoming the stars of our new series M.A.S.K.,” Skybound Executive Editor Ben Abernathy offered in a press release. “And to have Skybound-exclusive Tom Reilly bring his artistic skills, with the colors of Adriano Lucas, is absolute magic!”
Each version of the connecting variant will be available in both a colored and black and white version. Solicitation and ordering information for each copy is below.
