Well, time marches inexorably on, and nothing can stop our inevitable march toward decay… so we may as well enjoy weekend reading 47 in the meantime! Oh yeah, and Happy Valentines, or whatever.

As has become our custom for forty-seven consecutive weekends, we’re once again going to be spending our days curled up inside Stately Beat Manor, lost in a good book. What will you be reading this weekend? We hope you’ll share your reading plans with us in the comment section or on social media @comicsbeat!

Weekend Reading 47: Life with Archie

AVERY KAPLAN: Riverdale has got me in an Archie mood, so I’ll be reading a collection of Life with Archie (the genre stories, not The Married Life). Then, as far as prose goes, I’ve been meaning to get to Riverdale alum Britta Lundin’s novel Ship It since season three, and this weekend seems like it will be the perfect opportunity.

Weekend Reading 47: King Kirby

TAIMUR DAR: Last weekend I said I would be reading the Jack Kirby graphic novel biography from creator Tom Scioli. Little did I know that this week the King Kirby audio drama from husband/wife duo Fred Van Lente and Crystal Skillman would be released. I believe I either saw a performance of the play at the Comic Book Theater Festival or a live reading years ago. In any case, I still own the King Kirby playbook I purchased so it’s another Kirby weekend for me.
