Wonderful Wednesdays from Seven Seas are back again with a brand new batch of manga, webtoon and light novel licensing announcements. This time, Seven Seas surprised us with a pretty wide variety of titles and formats that I’m sure will catch the eyes of many of their fans.
RIKU CAN’T BE A GODDESS (LIGHT NOVEL) – July 2024
The latest entry on Seven Seas’ Airship imprint is a new light novel, RIKU CAN’T BE A GODDESS from the award-winning author, Kumi Tamaru. This volume is a collection of 4 stories about high schoolers, their identity, and self-acceptance.
High school student Ichika has a secret. She’s letting Riku, her childhood friend and secret crush, explore his interest in cross-dressing by acting as his personal dress-up doll–that is, until an unexpected kiss upends this happy arrangement, sending Ichika fleeing in a panic. MY SISTER TOOK MY FIANCE AND NOW I’M BEING COURTED BY A BEASTLY PRINCE (MANGA) – April 2024
Shojo/josei manga fans should be happy with this announcement, as Seven Seas has announced they have licensed MY SISTER TOOK MY FIANCE AND NOW I’M BEING COURTED BY A BEASTLY PRINCE, a fun, fantasy revenge romance by Yu Sakurai, Kiduki Hoshikawa, and Ren Hidou.
Cordelia, daughter of a Countess, can’t seem to get married–mostly because her little sister Priscilla keeps stealing the hearts of her suitors. Ready to resign herself to a spinster fate, Cordelia is surprised when a handsome man suddenly wants to court her: and he’s a prince, no less! Prince Leonhardt, who possesses the power of a legendary lion, is a heavily admired man but has his own quirks, such as pursuing Cordelia because he was drawn to her…scent. How cat-like is this man, really?! A fun (and slightly furry) fantasy romance!

NO LOVE ZONE (BL WEBTOON) – July 2024
Popular BL webtoon, NO LOVE ZONE by Danbi, has finally been announced by Seven Seas as their latest addition to their Webtoons imprint. This one is a mature-rated boys love romcom about a friendly office worker and his very handsome, but tyrannical boss.
It’s been about a year since Lee Eun-gyeom started working at his office job. He’s outgoing and gets along well with his co-workers, but his success with romantic relationships is less than stellar…especially since he tends to fall hard and fast based on looks alone. History seems poised to repeat itself with his handsome new boss, Han Jihyuk: the man is exactly Lee Eun-gyeom’s type, but his personality is a total turn-off as he works Lee Eun-gyeom to the bone. The more aggravated Lee Eun-gyeom feels, the more he can’t get Han Jihyuk off his mind. Could this heated attraction be mutual?

Last, but certainly not least, Seven Seas announced a brand new 3-in-1 omnibus edition of the fan favorite romcom, TOMO-CHAN IS A GIRL, by Fumita Yanagida.
Boyish high school girl Aizawa Tomo finally manages to tell her childhood friend Jun that she’s got a crush on him. Unfortunately, her confession goes right over his head—he didn’t even realize she was a girl until junior high, and even now, Jun still thinks of her as a bro! How can Tomo-chan possibly convince him otherwise and win Jun’s heart?
