Okay, you gotta bear with us now, but The Beastie Boys have just released a 20-minute video called “Fight For Your Right (Revisited)” for their song “Make Some Noise” which is a veritable Final Crisis of Beastie Boy videos in that…well…time travel and pissing contests are involved — as are the entirety of the 2011 crop of comedy stars — from Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Will Ferrell, Jack Black, John C. Reilly, Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, Kirsten Dunst, Maya Rudolph and….many, many more (Orlando Bloom as Johnny Ryall!) Including Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci as Authority Figures, and maybe it was just Sarandon’s glasses but, she definitely bears a strong resemblance to Alanna Wolff, one half (with Jeff Byrd) of the Counselors of the Macabre from Batton Lash’s long running WOLFF & BYRD comic.

As usually happens, the new album, Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2, has already leaked, so in retaliation the Beasties are streaming the UNCUT NAUGHTY VERSION right now here.

We deem it very fresh.

BTW, after careful viewing of this MCA (aka Adam Yauch)-directed video — which we’ve done like 20 times now — we’re a bit suspicious that it filmed at the “New York” backlot at Warners instead of a real NYC street. However, wherever it was made, it did approximate the gatefold of the immortal Paul’s Boutique, so we’ll give it a pass.

  1. Wow, Heidi, you’re a fan of the Beastie Boys and “Paul’s Boutique”? Your street cred just sky-rocketed with me….

This is nuts, you just handed me the entire album I’ve been waiting to buy for months. WTF!!!! Um…Thanks!

P.S. Fun video – don’t forget the entire cast of “Bored to Death” (including Ted Danson, name-checked by Mike D in the lyrics to boot) and David Cross as Nathaniel Hornblower!
