Announced today during the Injustice 2 panel at SDCC; two new characters would be joining the game’s roster. First the returning Wonder Woman was announced to the delight of fans. Joining the game for the first time is the Jaime Reyes version of Blue Beetle {Note: it was not officially confirmed Jaime would be the Blue Bettle, but the armored version of the character shown would strongly suggest it}. The armored scarab version of the character looks intense.
Along with the other returning characters already announced, Wonder Woman will get some new moves added to the arsenal involving the lasso of truth.
Not to be outdone, Tom Taylor will be returning to write a new Injustice 2 prequel comic. The digital first series will bridge the gap between the first and second games. With no official release date for the game, no release date on the comic can be given though DC has said it will debut before the game sometime in 2017.
Injustice 2 comes to PS4 and Xbox One in 2017. We’ll have interviews with some of the cast as well as Netherrealm Studios Ed Boone later on along with your official look at Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle.
