Writer Paul Cornell has listed the various panels and signings he’ll be attending whilst at SDCC this weekend, amongst them a gender in comics panel and the X-Men panel. But he’s also revealed that at some point during the weekend, he’s going to be watching on as one of the already-booked panels makes some kind of special huge announcement regarding a new comic he’ll be writing.
Cornell won’t be appearing on the panel himself, because it breaks his panel parity rule – a panel has to have at least a 50:50 male to female ratio before he’ll appear on it. This mystery panel is all-male, so therefore he’ll be watching from the front row of the crowd. That detail aside, he hasn’t revealed anything else about the place, the time, or the project —
I won’t say what day that’ll be, because I don’t want to give away any clues, but I will say that it’s a comics project, that it’s a one-off issue, and that I’m very excited. A new blog post specifically about that should spring up here as soon as the panel’s finished.
Intrigue! Suspense! Speculate wildly!
That shouldn’t be too difficult to figure out… just eliminate any panel without a female presence…
Marvelman!
(Sorry, I just wanted that to be a rumor for a few days.)

This is kinda stupid. What if he was invited to be on a panel where the ratio was skewed toward female? In the future, there are bound to be panels to do not have a 50:50 ratio … skewing male or female.
X-Centric Wolverine?
