At San Diego Comic-Con 2026, attendees were the first to witness new reveals for the upcoming LEGO and Magic: The Gathering x Star Trek collaborations. These took place at the “Star Trek: The Collector Frontier” panel on Thursday, the first day of con. The panel was moderated by Tiffany Smith, whose enthusiasm for the products was palpable.
Magic: The Gathering x STAR TREK
The first reveals concerned the upcoming Magic: The Gathering x Star Trek card decks. In development since 2022 and scheduled for release on November 13, the collection was first announced via a WeeklyMTG first look post on July 14.

At the panel, new details were revealed regarding the Magic: The Gathering x Star Trek set, which will include, for the first time in MTG history, Signature Cards. There will be seven Signature Cards, including Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner), Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), and as revealed at the panel, Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart).
Each of the three aforementioned actors signed 200 of the special Signature Cards, which will be found by lucky Trekkies who pick the right Booster Pack (or those that have enough gold-pressed latinum to win the ensuing eBay auctions).
And there are seven Signature Cards total, so there’s still four more to be revealed. Will they all be Starfleet captains? I’m going to assume Captain Benjamin Sisko sadly will not be in the mix… But fingers crossed for Captain Carol Freeman, which seems possible, considering the confirmation that the already-released Bradward Boimler and Beckett Mariner cards are not the only representation for Star Trek: Lower Decks in the Magic: The Gathering x Star Trek set!

Magic: The Gathering x Star Trek is available for preorder now.
LEGO Icons STAR TREK: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge

The second half of the panel was devoted to the LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge set. Long speculated and officially revealed by LEGO on July, the set is based on the iconic ship and crew from Star Trek: The Original Series.
Priced at $199.99 and comprised of 1701 pieces (I get it), the set is scheduled to released on September 1, just in time for the Franchise’s 60th anniversary on September 8.

At the panel, a short and adorable video spotlighting a very exciting feature was revealed. In “A Taste of Turbulence,” the TOS crew faces one of the their most commonly occurring antagonists: turbulence! This cute video highlighted one of the best features of the 1701 Bridge set: a lever that allows you to bring all the shakey fun to your set.
The panel also discussed many of the Easter eggs to which you can look forward exploring in the set, including a viewscreen with Koloth, four Tribbles and brand-new accessories like a type 2 phaser.

Elsewhere at SDCC, visitors to the LEGO Systems Inc booth (#2829) had the opportunity to see the 1701 Bridge set up close. The 1701 Bridge set is currently available for preorder.
Coming in Autumn 2026

Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge set will be available in autumn 2026, just in time for the Franchise’s 60th anniversary. Will you be picking up either?
