At Thursday’s Marvel’s Wolverine panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, the audience saw a new story trailer for the game, which follows Logan (Liam McIntyre) on a journey toward rediscovering his identity after some time away from Team X.
In addition to the trailer reveal, the panel featured the game’s cast and developers discussing the characters and world of the latest entry in the Marvel Games line.
Game Director Mike Daly shared that Marvel’s Wolverine takes place on Earth 1048, the same as Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man series, and will take players to different locations around the globe. In the gameplay shown, we see Logan alongside Jean Grey (Krizia Bajos) and Team X, featuring Sabertooth (Brett Gipson) and Mystique (Nicole Pacent), as they work together to provide shelter to the mutants hiding from society. There are no ‘X-Men’ in this universe.
Also revealed in the trailer is Lady Deathstrike, who leads the Hand Clan.
Towards the end of the panel, Creative Director Marcus Smith revealed that the soundtrack for the game was composed by Emmy Award winner David Fleming. A snippet of the main theme, titled “Logan,” was played for audience members, and will be released on streaming services during SDCC.
Finally, a new in-game costume for Logan based on his design in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls was revealed, alongside an additional costume for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls based on Logan’s original design in Marvel’s Wolverine.
Marvel’s Wolverine will be available exclusively for PlayStation 5 on September 14.
