SDCC ’19: Watch Stan Lee’s Alliances: A Trick of Light co-creator Luke Lieberman talk about the project, then see it for yourself

Earlier this year, Audible announced Stan Lee‘s Alliances: A Trick of Light, one of the legendary comics creator’s final projects before his death in late 2018. At San Diego Comic-Con International, co-creator Luke Lieberman introduced an activation that takes attendees into the new superhero verse in A Trick of Light, and The Beat was on the scene to check it out in all its glory.

“Years in the making, Stan Lee’s Alliances: A Trick of Light is one of the cultural icon’s final collaborations and returns him to his creative roots as he explores the complex relationship between humankind, science and technology,” Audible said in a statement in April, ahead of the series launch in June.

Now, you can watch our own Carolyn Hinds take a tour of this world and get some insight from Lieberman about the experience and Lee himself.

STAN LEE’s ALLIANCES: A TRICK OF LIGHT is one of the legendary comic book creator’s final collaborations. As such, this Audible title is getting the royal treatment it deserves. Co-written by Kat Rosenfeld and narrated by Yara Shahidi, A Trick of Light explores what it means to live in a world where you have the power to define truth and justice for yourself— and what happens when you cross those whose ideas are different than yours. Watch as New Media Editor Alex Lu talks to the book’s and San Diego Comic Con Activation’s co-creator, Luke Lieberman, about the title and Stan himself. Then, Beat Contributor Carolyn Hinds takes you inside the Trick of Light experience to show you the cool stuff inside.
