Dynamite Comics has a ton of announcements dropping to coincide with San Diego Comic Con this week, but the most cryptic one so far teases a new James Bond series slated for release in December. All we know so far is the creative team and nothing else. But the lineup is quite impressive, making the tantalizing teaser even more exciting.

What do we know so far: writers Vita Ayala and Danny Lore are heading up the book with art by Eric Gapstur. There will also be connecting covers by Jim Cheung. Whether it is a new ongoing title or a miniseries, only time will tell.

Dynamite Comics has been publishing a multitude of 007 books over the past few years, with some based on Ian Fleming’s novels as well as tales centered on Bond’s ally Felix Leiter. Last year, the publisher also began James Bond Origin, which explores the MI6 agent’s early days before becoming the smooth spy we have come to love. The company also has an adaptation of Live and Let Die coming out in September.

Needless to say, we are definitely intrigued at what this new project might be about and which part of the MI6/Bond universe it will explore. More to come!
