It seems more details for Netflix’s upcoming Shadow and Bone series, based on the Grishaverse novels by Leigh Bardugo, may emerge at San Diego International Comic-Con. On Wednesday, Bardugo shared a poster by the inimitable Kevin Wada that brings together characters from the Shadow and Bone book trilogy, the Six of Crows duology, and Bardugo’s latest release in the Grishaverse, King of Scars. The posters will be available for fans during Bardugo’s signings, but show news could be pending, as well.

Netflix ordered the Shadow and Bone series in January, sending Bardugo’s fans into a tizzy. The series will reportedly bring together the overlapping stories of Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows, following characters from both. When a young woman discovers dormant powers that could bring her divided country together and end the influence of darkness for good, her fight is quickly complicated by forces of evil who would rather see the darkness swallow everything whole.

Eric Heisserer (Bird Box) is writing and executive producing Shadow and Bone, alongside co-producers Bardugo, Shawn Levy (Stranger Things), Pouya Shahbazian (Divergent), Dan Levine, Dan Cohen and Josh Barry. Although the series was first announced in January and Bardugo has hinted at work being done on the series since, no major announcements have been made.

Bardugo will be signing at SDCC; she said in a tweet that everyone in her signing lines will get one of Wada’s posters. Given that SDCC is Ground Zero for major announcements, it seems possible (and maybe even likely) that Netflix will announce cast members or a release date during the event, especially with Bardugo in attendance.

At any rate, check out Wada’s poster below and if you’re a Grishaverse fan who will be at the show next week, be sure to check out Bardugo’s full schedule and plan accordingly.
