We’ve gotten used to there being some shockers at the Marvel Studios panels at Comic-Con, but no one could be ready for the two announcements related to the recently-announced fourth Thor movie.

First of all… the title. Are you ready for this?

THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER

Sorry, romance haters. That’s the REAL title for the movie and not a joke made by constant prankster, director Taiki Waititi. Waititi brought out Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson aka Valkyrie, who was made King at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Then, he pulled the biggest surprise of Comic-Con 2019… by bringing out NATALIE PORTMAN!

That’s right, kids, in Thor: Love and Thunder (the real title, not a joke), Portman’s Jane Foster will get the hammer Mjolnir and become THOR!

This is not too surprising for anyone who follows the comics, but might be slightly surprising for those who thought that Portman was done with these movies after Thor: The Dark World. She didn’t appear in Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok and only had a tiny appearance in Avengers: Endgame.

But Jane Foster will be back as Thor, and the movie will hit theaters in November 2021! Waititi and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige also presented the logo for Thor: Love and Thunder, which has a new color scheme but otherwise aligns with previous Thor title cards.
