What does a comics editor do, anyway? Well if you know the answer to that question, IDW is hiring!

If you’re headed to San Diego for Comicon at the end of July but would like to extend your stay a while, IDW Publishing would like to talk to you. The local publisher of acclaimed comic books and graphic novels such as 30 Days of Night and The Transformers has a position open for a qualified editor and will be accepting resumes from worthy applicants at their booth during the show.

The Editor position will report directly to Chris Ryall, IDW’s Publisher/Editor-in-Chief and be responsible for all degrees of line editing and copy editing alike. A strong copyediting/proofreading background is a must. An ability to handle multiple deadline-driven projects at once is also a necessary component in the overall skill set that this position requires. A publishing background is preferred. Specific comic book knowledge and background isn’t vital to success in this position.

All candidates who would like to be considered for this position are encouraged to drop off resumes at IDW Publishing’s booth, #2229, throughout the duration of the show. Initial interviews may be conducted on-site, time permitting.
