It’s been debated by fans since Starz announced a full series order for their television adaption of Sandman: Overture scribe Neil Gaiman’s best-selling book American Gods: who will play the lead role of Shadow Moon? Today we get the answer: relative unknown Ricky Whittle of The 100 and Austenland will star as Shadow, the ex-con with a penchant for coin tricks who is recruited as a bodyguard by the enigmatic Mr. Wednesday as he travels the country on business of truly epic proportions.
