As part of their upcoming New Age of DC Heroes line, today DC Comics released a special preview for Ivan Reis’ and Jeff Lemire’s The Terrifics. The title is one of several spinning out from Scott Snyder’s and Greg Capullo’s ongoing Dark Nights: Metal event which has seen a portal to a “dark multiverse” opened, vastly expanding the horizons for storytelling in the DC Universe.
The Terrifics in particular appears to be a bit of a spin on the Fantastic Four, with many tongue and cheek allusions in the marketing for the title hinting at such. In the opening pages, we see Mr. Terrific already beginning to put the family together with appearances from Plastic Man and Metamorpho.
The Terrifics #1 hits shelves in February, but you can check out the first pages from the book after the jump.
