Image imprint Ghost Machine has revealed Radioactive Revolution, a crossover for Geiger and Redcoat beginning this February. Created by writer Geoff Johns, artists Gary Frank & Bryan Hitch, colorist Brad Anderson, and letterer Rob Leigh, Radioactive Revolution will mark the first crossover for Ghost Machine’s Unnamed Universe, and follow the immortal mercenary Simon Pure’s mission to hunt down Tariq Geiger/The Glowing Man — something greatly complicated by the arrival of a mutual foe, Organgrinder.

The crossover will begin with an eponymous one-shot on February 10, before continuing in the pages of Geiger #26-28 and Redcoat #23-24. Issue #1 will be available with variant covers by Ivan Reis, Danny Miki, Francis Portela, Brett Bean, and Steven Defendini (winner of Ghost Machine’s cover contest), as well as a blank sketch variant and a wraparound cover by Hitch.
The crossover was announced while Image shared plans to mark its 35th anniversary next year. The publisher unveiled a new logo, and teased a year-long team-up variant campaign, beginning with a line of D’Orc crossovers. “Special, anniversary-branded promotional swag” will be available for comics retailers, “including a wall calendar to hang up all-year-long,” with “more anniversary-related announcements, must-attend events, and celebrations” to be revealed at a later date.

Image also disclosed a monthly release for Tom Scioli‘s series The Myth of 8-Opus. The ongoing series, which Scioli originally created in 1999, follows 8-Opus, an intergalactic warrior, whose disappearance ten years ago plunged the universe into chaos. Captured and imprisoned, “8-Opus breaks free, vowing revenge on whoever put him there. If he’s going to survive, 8-Opus will have to fight a host of demi-gargoyles, old foes, and even the old friends who’ve abandoned him to his fate.”
Issue #1 will be released on February 10, with variant covers by Erik Larsen and Jim Rugg, and a D’Orc team-up variant by Scioli.
