Ahead of Thanksgiving weekend, IDW Publishing has released a preview of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #13, which will begin the book’s new run from the creative team of writer Gene Luen Yang and artist Freddie E. Williams III.
To say that IDW is hyping the issue is no exaggeration. TMNT #13 has already received more than 100k orders. Part of the hype is the introduction of a new foe named Ujigami. Much has been shrouded in mystery regarding this new villain. However, with the recent resurrection of the Turtles’ sensei Master Splinter, I can’t help but wonder if Ujigami is in fact Splinter in disguise. In any event, the the resurrection of Splinter will hopefully be addressed by the new creative team.
