X-Men fans will be reeling from DNX’s shocking intergalactic events, but one thing is certain: Jean Grey will return to the mutant team, and it’s heading for Earth. This November, Jed MacKay and Rogê Antônio kick off a brand-new Jean Grey limited series and mark the start of MacKay’s new run on X-Men. Beat readers can get an early look at all five covers of Jean Grey #1, plus a lettered preview.

Jean Grey #1 is written by MacKay, illustrated by Antônio, with covers by Joëlle Jones, Ito, Nogi San, Peach Momoko, and Miguel Mercado.

“As one of the original five X-Men, she’s been there since the beginning, and there’s not only a rich history to explore, there’s also digging into how that history has shaped her in the present,” MacKay explained in a new interview with Marvel.com. “Jean’s been a lot of different things over the years, but also means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, so I’ve been looking forward to winnowing down these disparate interpretations into who she is now.”

“Given Jean’s power and her history, her foe in this series could be nothing less than elemental. Jean is going to be going up [against] a primal force that threatens to return everything to a former age- and it’s going to take everything she has to fight it!” added Mackay.
BURNING ON RE-ENTRY IN THE AFTERMATH OF DNX!
The Phoenix is headed to Earth. Jean Grey is aflame within. When she touches down, will she consume all she touches…or will she maintain control of the life-giving, life-taking power coursing through her?

Jean Grey #1 will be available at your local comic book shop on November 25!
