In the last issue, Jay and Mania found themselves on a cross-time adventure in hot pursuit of the rock band KISS. They need the Demon King’s Sword of Immortality to keep Jay’s soul from being permanently trapped in the barren desert known as The Waste Land and the iconic group has it. KISS: The End #4 brings the pair even closer to their ultimate goal, but they are running out of chances to make it happen before Hay is stranded in The Waste Land. Not only will this be a permanent problem, but Hay will also be stuck with the angry Demon King who is still pissed about losing his sword and his hand to the greatest rock band in the world.

The miniseries is a companion piece to KISS’ farewell tour announced earlier this year. Written by Amy Chu (Red Sonja, Poison Ivy) and with art by Edu Menna (Twilight Zone, ZNation) and letters by Troy Peteri (Amazing Spider-Man, Witchblade), The Starchild, The Demon, The Spaceman, and The Catman are the stars of a story filled with everything from the supernatural to rock ‘n’ roll, with a little soul searching mixed in for the young man at the center of it all.

This issue features covers by artists Stuart Sayger, Reilly Brown, and Brent Schoonover. Fans can also select a photo cover taken from behind the drum kit, with an impressive view of the band’s loyal fans. There are also black and white versions available.

With KISS: The End #4 hitting comic shops on Wednesday August 7, The Beat received a preview of some interior pages and a few covers ahead of the release. To order your copy of the comic online or for more information, head over to Dynamite Comics’ website.
