During its PlayStation 5 reveal event, Sony finally unveiled its next-generation console during a video presentation packed with new games and announcements. In addition to revealing the design and features of the long-awaited PlayStation 5, Sony put its roster of talented developers on display. The company provided glimpses at upcoming titles from Guerrilla Games, Sumo Digital, Bluepoint Games, and more 1st party studios. Those include Horizon: The Forbidden West, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and a remake of the original Soules-like Demon’s Souls, and a whole lot more.

Most of Sony’s titles won’t be available at launch, but fans couldn’t have asked for a better exception. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is scheduled for Holiday 2020, the same release window as the PlayStation 5 itself.

Given how recently Insomniac Games released Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4, Miles Morales is unlikely to be a full-sized game. By reusing the Manhattan setting, though, Insomniac will be able to craft a satisfying adventure for Morales, who gained spider powers at the end of the first game.

The event also shared new content from third-party studios, including a deeper look at Arkane Studio’s Deathloop, the world premiere of Resident Evil 8: Village, and reveal of indie games from talented developers. The Beat will publish an analysis of the PlayStation 5 reveal event as a whole tomorrow, June 12.
