On display at the Playmobil booth on the show floor of New York Comic Con was the toy company’s only prototype of the Klingon Bird of Prey from Star Trek. Like the recently released USS Enterprise NCC-1701 playset, the Klingon Bird of Prey is large!

The ship includes 6 Playmobil mini-figs: Admiral Kirk, Spock, Kruge, and three more Klingons. Like the Enterprise set, the ship features authentic lights and sound. The sounds for this set comes straight from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Also like the Enterprise set before it, you can hang this set from the ceiling using string placed in a series of holders on the ship. The ship will retail for $299.99 upon its release this December.

The USS Enterprise NCC-1701 playset was on display next to the Klingon Bird of Prey. If you’ve never seen the Enterprise set in person, it is big! The roof comes off the bridge, revealing everyone’s stations. It comes with 7 mini-figs of almost the entire original series crew (No Janice Rand, Playmobil??), and is available right now.

If these Star Trek sets sell well, I wonder if a Next Gen Enterprise is next?

Also on hand at Playmobil were some of their other licenses including Back to the Future, The A-Team and Knight Rider, all of which are available right now.
