Disney and Lucasfilm Publishing held a panel during this weekend’s NYCC Metaverse virtual event to take a look at all the newest Star Wars books that’ll be arriving in stores in time for the holiday season.

Moderated by This Week In Star Wars host Kristin Baver, authors Daniel José Older, Preeti Chhibber, Phil Szostak, Katie Cook, Zoraida Cordova, and Amy Ratcliffe talked about their upcoming books from a galaxy far, far away.

The first book highlighted was the anthology From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back, the follow up to the popular anthology From a Certain Point of View: Star Wars.

Another upcoming book to look for is Phil Szostak’s The Art of The Mandolorian, which collects artwork and designs from the popular Disney+ show.

If you need a book for relaxation, meditation and nerdiness, then Amy Ratcliffe’s The Jedi Mind is the book for you.

For the kids, Katie Cook has a few new titles available, including Star Wars Galactic Storybook and The Star Wars Book of Monsters, Ooze and Slime!

Also for younger readers, Preetei Chhibber’s storybook A Jedi You Will Be, the story of Yoda training Luke on Dagobah, was released earlier this week.

Along with his contribution to From a Certain Point of View, Daniel José Older’s all-ages IDW comic Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures will tell the story of a group of young Jedi at the height of the Jedi’s power.

All in all there will be plenty of stocking stuffers this holiday season for those geeks in your life!

  1. Forty years later, EMPIRE STRIKES BACK remains the only Star Wars movie with a female writer in the credits (Leigh Brackett). Which doesn’t stop fanboys from griping that the franchise has been taken over by “radical feminists.”
