If you aren’t already watching the new Harley Quinn animated series, you don’t know what you’re missing! Just ahead of the Birds of Prey movie, an all-new Harley Quinn episode airs this Friday with our titular heroine returning to her roots in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and pay her family a visit.

Viewers will recall that we got a brief glimpse of Harley’s dysfunctional home life much like how it’s been portrayed in the comics over the years.

Harley Quinn episode

As Harley Quinn producers Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker already revealed to The Beat during a NYCC interview, veteran voice actor Charlie Adler (who is already involved in the show as a voice director) will be playing the role of Harley’s ne’er do well father, Nick Quinzel. Cartoon aficionados will recall that Adler actually worked with Harley Quinn star Kaley Cuoco on the Disney cartoon Brandy and Mr. Whiskers in the early aughts.

In addition to Adler, Susie Essman, probably best known for her foulmouthed acerbic role in Curb Your Enthusiasm, plays Harley’s mother Sharon Quinzel.
