Correct us if we’re wrong, but was no one excited about the new Conan movie until star Jason Momoa blew everyone away with his tough, tender, head cleaving, wound festering Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones?
And now eveyrone is like…JASON MOMOA SQEEEEEEEEEEE.
CONAN THE BARBARIAN opens August 18th. And Momoa WILL be at Comic-Con.
One of the first comments I saw when the teaser debuted was that it looked like a SyFy original movie.
I wish it weren’t so, but nothing I’ve seen since has made it seem otherwise.
@Dave ditto my friend, this is one movie I will take the time to miss at the cinema and probably rent on DVD.
They’ll be hard pressed to make it worse than the first Conan movie.
You so crazy, Shannon! Milius’s outing might not’ve been so accurate to Howard’s stuff, but it worked great on its own terms and has an unspeakably good soundtrack.

I like the actor. I’m sure I’ll check it out anyway. If the sound track is good that’s a plus. Sometimes there’s a terrible preview with a good spin in the movie – Fight Club had one of the worst previews ever.
Right now It looks like a video game – fight, interstitial, fight, repeat until boss fight, end.
