Yet more news about the CCS Class of ’07, as six of them have banded togather to produce a new anthology to be released at MoCCA, entitled SUNDAYS — more info here, and the contributors are not limited to these six:

A new comics anthology is set for release on June 23rd at the 2007 MoCCA Art Festival and also available from iknowjoekimpel.com soon therafter. The book will be at table A-45 in the Skylight Ballroom. Put together by students of The Center for Cartoon Studies, it will focus on large format (11×17) single page comics inspired by the broadsheets of yore. The book will perfect-bound with 40 black and white pages and silkscreened color covers. Price TBD.

The editorial staff consists of 6 students from the second class of The Center for Cartoon studies: Sean Ford, Chuck Forsman, Alex Kim, Joe Lambert, Jeff Lok, and Bryan Stone. Wanting to make a book that showcased the talents of themselves and their friends, they also looked to create a book of comics that they would like to see when they crack open their newspapers. It was in this spirit that Sundays came to light.

Other confirmed contributors include: Andrew Arnold, Stephen R. Bissette (Taboo), JP Coovert, Ken Dahl (Ignatz winner), Colleen Frakes, Penina Gal, Cat Garza, Sam Gaskin (Xeric winner), Jon-Mikel Gates, Dane Martin, Sean Morgan, Morgan Pielli, Caitlin Plovnick, Adam Staffaroni, Rich Tommaso (8 1/2 Ghosts), Denis St. John, Emily Wieja.
