Well can Emil Ferris’s graphic novel My Favorite thing is Monsters get any hotter? Actually it can. In addition to selling out and having the biggest second printing in Fantagraphics’ history and getting rave reviews from everywhere, it’s now been the subject of a bidding war among movie studios. Sony won the war, Deadline reports. Four studios were involved but Sony under new president Sanford Panitch has been snapping up a lot of material and this had hot written all over it.
Not bad for what seemed a pretty out there indie graphc novel.
Ferris was repped by APA and Holly Bemiss at The Susan Rabiner Literery Agency and it’s good to have an agent in these matters.
