Mirka Andolfo’s Mercy, the new six-issue miniseries from the Italian writer/artist, is due out from Image Comics in March, and when it arrives, it will have covers from two major comics artists — Stanley ‘Artgerm’ Lau and Enrico Marini.

Mercy is Andolfo’s second book for Image, after the 2018 12-issue story, Unnatural. Like Unnatural before it, Mirka Andolfo’s Mercy is first being published in her native Italy by Panini Comics. The story for this new series in a mining settlement that is thrown into chaos by a set of brutal murders. A snow then falls upon the chaos, a mysterious woman in black arrives, and the plot is set into motion. For the curious, the book also got a trailer way back in October.

Image Comics unveiled the new covers for the book this week, which you can check out below along with three pages of preview artwork from the first issue (hitting shops March 4). This from Image PR…

Mercy explores topics of “otherness,” damnation and redemption, and what it means to be a monster in a horror tale perfect for fans of Penny Dreadful, Crimson Peak, Carnival Row, and Dark Shadows. More exciting details about the goth-inspired, Victorian monster series will be unveiled as the United States release date approaches.

After the poignant story of inclusion and self-discovery told in Unnatural, Andolfo presents a darker story that addresses issues far beyond typical genre-related tropes.
