It seems like Miles Morales’ world is being turned totally upside-down. He’s kicking major butt as Spider-Man, splitting up Tombstone’s gang and sending the hard-head to jail; but he’s also going to be a big brother soon, which is big news! Meanwhile, his friendships and relationships are changing and growing all the time. It may be time for him to focus on his own life for once. But whatever rest Miles deserves, he isn’t likely to get it — especially now that he’s been kidnapped by an unknown assailant. In Miles Morales: Spider-Man #8, he’s tied up and being read the terms of his captivity by an ultra-creepy henchman. Oh, and the bonds are electrified. Yikes!
This isn’t the first time Miles has been captured, nor is it likely to be the last. Still, the question of how he’s going to get free remains, as does the question of how this capture will affect his future. Is this a new villain? An old one? Whoever it is, they want to observe Miles as a subject… which suggests creepy scientific experiments at the very least.
