Marvel Comics has revealed it is shutting down the Marvel Unlimited app, in favor of an all-new Marvel Comics App, created in collaboration with Webtoon. It will launch on Monday, November 16, while attendees of this weekend’s New York Comic Con will be able to check it out beforehand, at Booth #2435.
The new app and Marvel’s official FAQs elaborate Unlimited will “sunset” on December 7, and that readers will be able to “import existing purchases and redemptions” if they register beforehand. Astonishingly, the new subscription service will offer new comics only a month after they’re released, in contrast to Unlimited’s three-month window.
