Yet another Marvel mini-series is launching in March, this time featuring the superheroes of Marvel Rising, which currently have animated and toy iterations, as well as variant covers on other series featuring the latter. In the Marvel Rising mini-series, Kamala Khan and Doreen Green, A.K.A. Ms. Marvel and Squirrel Girl, team up with Miles Morales, Dante Pertuz (A.K.A. Inferno), America Chavez, and Daisy Johnson (A.K.A. Quake) for an all-new, action-packed adventure.
Per a press release from Marvel, the five-issue Marvel Rising mini-series “follows Kamala and Doreen as they attempt to stop sorceress Morgan le Fay from turning New Jersey… into New Camelot!”
Dwayne McDuffie Award-winning writer Nilah Magruder (A Year of Marvels and the webcomic M.F.K.) will team up with artist Robert Di Salvo (Marvel Adventures Spider-Man, Marvel Zombies) for all five issues, with covers by Audrey Mok (Josie and the Pussycats, Archie).
Check out the cover for Marvel Rising #1 below and be sure to grab a copy from your local comic shop in March. Plus, don’t forget that Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors is currently available to stream (for FREE!) on Marvel HQ.
