Marvel will celebrate its 80th birthday this August with Marvel Comics #1000, with Marvel Comics #1001 to follow in September. On Thursday, the publisher also revealed a series of 80th anniversary frame variants for titles being released in August, a.k.a. the month of celebration. Each variant features a character headshot from their titular series, framed by a collection of characters from throughout the Marvel Universe.

Along with the release, Marvel sent out six of the 80th anniversary frame variants, by Humberto Ramos (Amazing Spider-Man #28), Russell Dauterman (Avengers #23), John Tyler Christopher (Captain Marvel #9), Pasqual Ferry (Miles Morales: Spider-Man #9), Mike McKone (Thor #16), and Lee Garbett (Venom #17).
