In an announcement on THR, Florida-based independent publisher Mad Cave Studios announced that Maverick, an imprint that will publish young adult graphic novels, is scheduled to launch in 2021.

Mad Cave Studios has already had a busy year, spearheading a Comic Book Retailer COVID-19 Relief Fund in the spring and a robust comic release schedule this autumn.

However, that’s not enough comics for Mad Cave Studios! As the market for YA comics continues to grow, Mad Cave Studios is preparing to launch Maverick.

Beginning in autumn 2021, Maverick will allow Mad Cave Studios to make their foray into the growing market for comics geared toward younger readers. Maverick plans to release new material on a bi-monthly basis, featuring comics by new creators as well as veterans alike.

While Maverick’s announcement on THR included some of the imprint’s inaugural titles, additional details are promised at the Mad Cave Showcase 2.0 online event, which will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020 at noon Eastern Time (which is nine A.M. Pacific). The event will be hosted by Jazzlyn Stone and promises plenty of exciting guests, including Sweeney Boo and Cullen Bunn! You can tune in by heading to this address on October 3rd (and you can plan your viewing by checking out the event schedule that has already been posted at that link).
