Valiant is getting ready to launch the next ongoing series starring Archer and Armstrong with A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong #1. Rafer Roberts (Plastic Farm) is working on the story alongside a Valiant Exclusive artist, David Lafuente (Ultimate: Spider-Man). The first story arc for the new series, entitled “In The Bag,” sees Archer hop into Armstrong’s bottomless satchel in order to save Armstrong. While there, Archer gets a first hand look at some of the emotional baggage that Armstrong has been trying to bury for years. The villain for the story was identified as Bacchus, someone who has been lingering inside the satchel for centuries now. Bacchus is in control of monsters, goblins and golems. It’s up to Archer to save his friend in this brand new ongoing series.
“In my first arc, Archer and Armstrong basically go into Armstrong’s bag,” Rafer told CBR. “And it’s filled with monsters, demons and some old friends and enemies that are trapped inside due to Armstrong’s negligence. And a lot of them get out and wreak havoc. Archer, Armstrong and some very special guest stars have to team up and defeat the chaos that Armstrong has caused with his own drunken oafishness.”
