Ram V and Filipe Andrade, the critically acclaimed, award nominated team behind The Many Deaths of Laila Starr, are reuniting for a new series, Rare Flavours, set to debut from BOOM! in September 2023.

Rare Flavours #1 will be served from your favourite Michelin star rated local comic shop (and digital marketplace) September 20, 2023. This first issue will have three variant covers by Fabío Moon, Anand RK and David Mack – in addition to the main cover by series artist Filipe Andrade.

V and Andrade’s The Many Deaths of Laila Starr has been a worldwide hit with it being nominated for awards in the US and France. Laila Starr was nominated for an Eisner, a Harvey, and a Ringo Award. Earlier this month The Many Deaths of Laila Starr won the 2023 Excellence in Graphic Literature Award (Adult – Fiction) from Pop Culture Classroom. Meanwhile in France, the Association of French Comics Critics (ACBD) nominated it for the Prix Comics de la Critique ACBD 2022 – it lost to Barry Windsor-Smith‘s Monsters.
